====== Creating a new game ======


Before you can play, you (or one of the participating players) have to create a game.

This process can be split into two steps:

__1. Create the map layout__

If you press "New Game" in the main menu, you will have to choose the map you want to play on.
After that you will see the map. On the top left part you can see a panel, which lets you generate
a map layout by choosing the number of horizontal and vertical zones. You also can choose between 
six-sided and four-sided zones (hexagonal or square base layout).

After that, you are free to design this basic layout by:

"p"...creates a new zone (the center will be created at the location of your mouse cursor)

"."...deactivates a zone (this zone will not take part in the game, but will not be deleted)

","...activate a zone (reativates a deactivated zone)

"-"...freely lets you shape the zone by replacing its center (you have to place the mouse cursor above
the center star and hold "-"; this might lag a bit, so take your time)

"c"...creates the map you designed (beware, there is no turning back after pressing "c")

__2. Administrate the game__

Back in the main menu, press "Administrate Game". You will see your map again, with all deactivated
zones being purple.

Now select a zone you want to have as a starting zone and press "Add player" on the right panel.
In the newly opened panel on the left side type in the name of a player and invite him.
Now select a second starting zone and repeat the process. And don´t forget to add your self.

With this, all invited players can login and choose a color and the [[factions_tech-side|Factions/Tech-Side]] they want to use in
the game. 

After everyone made their choice, the game can begin.
